I am highly committed to the evidence-based practice of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), practicing clinically for 12 years and applying it in my own life concurrently. Tiana provides individual, couples, family and parent therapy; She also co-leads DBT skills training groups and provides DBT coaching for adults, adolescents, and families. Tiana has provided therapeutic services to diverse populations, ranging from children on the autism spectrum to severely and chronically mentally-ill adults, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders. Prior to founding DBT Center of Long Beach she provided individual therapy at the largest social services agency on the Westside of Los Angeles, Ocean Park Community Center, with a focus on harm-reduction. Tiana then worked as a DBT therapist at both the Clearview Women’s Center for Borderline Personality and Emotional Disorders and Clearview Center for Addictions and Mental Health Disorders residential programs. Most recently, Tiana spent three years at DBT Center of the South Bay, continuously working on her skill. After having her first child, Tiana took a year to see clients at her private practice, Sage Mind Therapy. While Tiana enjoyed meeting with clients individually, the universe pulled her back to the outpatient Standard DBT program where she decided to organize and direct DBT Center of Long Beach.
